🥛 Laban (salted yogurt drink)
Laban is a chilled drink of cultured yogurt thinned with water and lightly salted. It is smooth, tart and cooling, and in the Gulf it is the classic partner to rice dishes such as kabsa and biryani. It is drunk straight from a glass, very cold, and is sold in cartons in almost every grocery in the region.
