🦐 Pizza Frutti di Mare
Pizza frutti di mare is a seafood pizza of tomato topped with shrimp, mussels and squid, flavoured with garlic and usually made without cheese. Baked in a wood-fired oven, it is briny, garlicky and light, with a charred, chewy crust. It is finished with parsley and olive oil and served hot.

How to make it lighter
- Skip the oil when sautéing and add the seafood raw instead; 1 tbsp olive oil ≈ 120 kcal.
- Pile on extra seafood rather than eating more crust.
- Pair half a pizza with a green salad.
History
Frutti di mare means 'fruits of the sea' in Italian. Seafood pizzas are popular in coastal southern Italy, especially around Naples, where the topping reflects the local catch.
