Pileći ražnjići are Balkan-style chicken skewers: cubes of chicken alternated with pieces of onion and bell pepper, seasoned with sweet paprika and grilled until lightly charred. The meat stays juicy while the vegetables soften and caramelise at the edges. They are served hot from the grill, often with a fresh salad.

How to make it lighter

History

Chicken skewers are a lighter variation on the classic pork ražnjići of the Balkan grill, now common on menus across Serbia and the wider region. The name comes from ražanj, a spit or skewer, and pileći simply means "chicken".
