This thick shake blends soft dates with cold milk, ice cream and crushed ice into a sweet, frosty drink with a caramel flavour. It is richer and more filling than a plain milkshake because of the fruit. Juice bars across the Gulf serve it in tall cups, and it is a favourite after iftar in Ramadan.
