🥪 Kaşarlı tost (Turkish cheese toast)
Kaşarlı tost is the classic Turkish toasted sandwich: two slices of bread filled with plenty of kaşar, a mild semi-hard cheese, brushed with butter and pressed in a hot ridged grill until crunchy outside and stretchy inside. It is a staple of breakfast, school canteens and büfe kiosks, usually served with a glass of tea or ayran.
