🍞 Buttered Toast
Buttered toast is sliced bread browned under a grill or in a toaster until crisp and golden, then spread with butter while still hot so it melts into the surface. The outside crunches while the middle stays slightly soft. It is a staple breakfast in many countries, eaten on its own or with jam and a cup of tea.
