🍗 Chicken sauté (tavuk sote)
Tavuk sote is an everyday Turkish dish of bite-sized chicken pieces sautéed in butter with onion, garlic, green and red peppers, then simmered briefly with fresh tomato into a light, homestyle sauce. It is quick, colourful and mildly flavoured, and is usually served with rice pilaf or bread to mop up the juices.
